First of all, I just want to say thank you to everyone who read my last blog post. It resulted in my highest page views since my first two posts. I just want to say that it means a lot to know that people are reading and enjoying it enough to return to the site. With that being said, let's get to the episode.
So, let’s just be honest, there wasn’t much game this
episode of Big Brother. Basically, the house guests got their Labor Day weekend
break too. You know who doesn’t get one? College students. I am stuck attending
classes while I know my parents are having drinks and barbecuing. Basically, I’d
rather have Davonne for a third season than be in classes right now. You know
who else would rather have Davonne back? James and Natalie. Because they are
screwed. Let’s take a look at why and examine the best moments of the episode.
We start with a flashback before the eviction where everyone
is figuring out that Michelle will actually be the ones going. Natalie keeps
repeating that she knew Nicorey would betray them. Really? You knew?! Then why
did you keep them and not Victor? That’s right, because you didn’t know. Admit
you were outplayed and get over it.
Now the HOH competition is shown. The house guests have to
navigate eggs through tiny holed fences with their fingers and maneuver the egg
to hit 3 targets. Victor wins the competition after many close calls from both
Corey and Natalie.
The You suck award goes to…
James. I was going to give this to Corey for going for the
have pass over the HOH at first, but even doing that, he was neck in neck for
the HOH. Therefore, this goes to James for probably having the worst
performance of any past contestant on this competition.
Some other stuff this episode: As I said, this episode was game-lite,
so more focus was on funny stories. The boys made fun of Nicole for being from
a small town and these were some of the gems.
“You put on a play.. of 2 people”
“You go to a class reunion, and only one other person is
there”
“ You have a school soccer team, but you’re disqualified
every match”
It was really funny and that combined with Corey sleep
talking about Harry Potter made this episode insanely watchable. We also have
Paul morning the loss of his inflatable duck Pablo, whom Michelle cruelly stole
out of the house. While, it’s not a huge deal, I don’t think evicted
house guests should try to leave with other people’s stuff. It’s petty and not
funny. But, I guess that’s the definition of Michelle. I’d rewatch the episodes
just to see the funny scenes of this episode again.
The rest of the episode consisted of James/Natalie lamenting
over the situation they are in. I can’t feel bad because it is entirely their
faults. Did I or did I not say that screwing over Victor would bite them in the
butt? Well, I did. To add stupid to stupidity, all James has to say is that its
“time to start playing Big Brother.” No, you idiot. That was over 60 some days
ago. How can anyone root for this buffoon? He does nothing, adds nothing, he
should be nothing.
Worst Player
Is anyone surprised that I picked James? He did all of this
to himself by playing how to get Natalie to like me and not Big Brother. I
still maintain that he lost the second Frank went home, but his not playing the
game has made this loss come even sooner than I would have predicted back then.
Best Player
Paul. He is the most aware house guest left in the game. He
basically controls the HOH this week through Victor. He is seen as a jury
threat, and he is guaranteed this week to just relax and solidify some jury
votes. He is in the best position to win this game provided he and Victor win
more comps than Nicorey.
Current Favorite
Victor. Nothing has changed. I still think he is the most
likable, though I am rooting for a Paul win. (For reference, Paul is a VERY
close second place).
With that being said, enjoy your Labor Day. If you are like
me and in class, I salute you. If not, take an additional shot for me.
